hood to coast
We ran "The Mother of All Relays" in late August, 2009. Nike's Hood to Coast 197-mile relay race begins at Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood and ends at the Pacific Ocean in Seaside, Oregon. Over 12,000 runners run the race each year. We enjoyed our first race running with Aaron's coworkers from Intel.
At the end of my first run of 6.40 miles, I was excited to see our team captain, Suresh, waiting to start his run. Between the hours of 6pm and 7am, all runners were required to run with reflective vests and lights. I opted for my favorite headlamp. |

| Aaron and I relaxing in the back of the van before Aaron begins his third and final leg of the race. Two hours of sleep in 48 hours wasn't enough to keep us going after running over 12 miles. We resorted to more carbs and caffeine. | ![]() |
